Just a few random pics of Sri Lankans. This fellow was hawking souvenirs but for 100 rupees he put it all away and let me take his photo. Quite an elegant man, don't you think?

The local transport is a $3000 three-wheeled vehicle imported from India and assembled here. Our guide laughingly calls it a tri-shaw (they have rickshaws here too).
And, of course, no photo essay would be complete without the obligatory shot of a man bathing in the irrigation canal. He seems to scrub his back with a rope.
