On our way to the airport in Riyadh, we stop by the camel mart, where you go if you want to buy a camel. Prices range from about US$1000 for a baby camel (which we had for lunch) to $35,000 for a prize female camel who can live 30 years and produce lots of babies. We saw white camels, black camels and brown ones. All seemed good-tempered and none of them spat on me as I had feared.
Now we're on the plane off to Cyprus!
